By the end of last week, I decided I need to add more color in my wardrobe. I can’t say a completely succeeded in that, but hey it was an attempt. Right now black is just on my mind, although I am in search of a nice brown leather jacket…but that’s not exactly color in my wardrobe is it? lol
This was another week of playing catch up and no sleep, I figure if I go 2 more weeks hard, I should catch up on work things…so bare with me as I look exhausted in these and upcoming pics. Really this week was about details, just to add a little something to an outfit, and anything that is quick an easy.
Monday I was ready to conquer the world, so it’s one of favorite outfits of the week. Before getting my leather label blazer, my Georgio Armani boyfriend blazer, a sweet find from Salvation Army, was one of my favorite blazers. I paired with a great pair of zipper pocket jeans, and I felt comfy but business casual.
Tuesday I turned a long cowl neck sweater into a dress, and used an old brooch I had to redesign the neckline; i really like it!
Also scarves are a big part of my outfits, although sometimes they don’t make the final Style Diary image, so this week I made sure to include a couple. Sometimes for me a scarf is more important than I jacket, there’s something about having my neck covered that makes me feel warmer.
One of my favorite looks for fall and winter, even if it’s an old played out one, are tights with shorts, whether they are tattered shorts or dressy ones, I’ll rock it. Is it bad that I stole the look from Lindsay Lohan 4 or 5 years ago?
Another favorite, and what will always be favorite, is my go-to vintage dress from my favorite Astoria vintage shop, Loveday 31. I wear this dress for almost any casual to semi-casual occasion. I usually rock with chelsea boot, gladiator sandals, or even chucks, but i was in the mood for mary janes this week.
My weekend was full of running around, work, and finally getting a hair cut!. Saturday my fedora was mandatory, because that hair needed to be did! geesh! Sunday I wanted to try out a look I’ve been thinking of since the summer, but I haven’t found any lace trouser socks yet, instead I rocked fishnets, it was fine, but I’m officially on the hunt for lace socks/trouser socks!
That’s it for this week. Shout out to founder of Vision Alternative, Ellis Flynn, for hooking me up with the weekday flicks, it’s always appreciated homie.
Until next week!
