Hey Guys! So I’ve been shooting but not posting, but the pics are coming. As most of you know, NYC was hit by Hurricane Sandy. This post is pre-Sandy, and by the weekend I was locked in my apartment bracing for the storm. Thankfully nothing major happened where I lived, but none the less we were all affected by the disaster, so much so, that I didn’t leave the house for all of Week 5!
Mondays tend to be a relaxed day or a day I dress to conquer the world. At this point in my semester, it’s predominantly a relaxed day since i’m usually functioning off an all-nighter. I think the boyfriend blazer with the leather paneled leggings meshes the two mindsets; also a key thing here, cover your butt! Leggings aren’t pants!
I should also point out that this was unofficially blazer week for me. Although I pretty much wear a blazer everyday and think it’s an essential piece to a girl’s wardrobe, more than anything this week’s weather made a blazer, perfect.
Tuesday was my favorite outfit of the week! You may have seen this outfit in my Twitter or Instagram feeds when i was at BET, in the 106 & Park studio. This blazer dresses up anything. I don’t get to wear it often, but when i do I always get a compliment. It’s a go to confidence builder piece for me.
Wednesday was my midweek chill day. You can never go wrong with jeans, a blouse, a blazer, and a pair of chucks…pin-striped ones at that.
For Friday’s outfit, I was still loving my rolled jeans from Tuesday, so I wanted to find another pair I could roll up. Fortunately I pulled my old Crest Jeans out the woodwork, and I think it turned out well. You may see this outfit on Love & Hip-Hop since this day, I was Assistant Director for a video shoot for Yandy from the show.
As always, my Ilia Bullet Chain by Tatiana Ilia was an accessory staple in most of my outfits. If you like it, check out their cyber Monday deal, where you can get the bullet chain and much more for 25% off!
And thanks to my homie at Vision Alternative for the flicks.
