After a week working from home and a week off from school because of Sandy, I was ready to put some clothes on and start the week, well that’s what I thought. I’m not sure in what ways the storm affected you, but for me it created a reflective, even somewhat somber tone on things that made me put some things into perspective.
It made not want to post anything to the blog because it just seemed trivial and silly, and I really didn’t care about dressing and style. For this week I was predominately focused on my photography and video work, and finalizing the details of going to Art Basel in Miami.
Monday I got into take care of business mode, with my new Ralph Lauren Rugby Collection blazer, I added a pop of color with a blouse I found on one of my thrift shop runs last year.
Paired with some trouser skinny jeans, Aldo calf boot, and my favorite belt that I took from my mother, that she got in the mid 60’s as a gift, and I was ready to go!

TUESDAY
Blazer:Emporio Armani Top: Banana Republic
Skirt: Urban Outfitters Shoes: Jeffery Campbell Brit Boots
When you’re having a rough day and a bad hair day, throw on your favorite hat and a skirt or dress. That’s what I did, paired with a boyfriend blazer, I did my best to stay positive and stylish.

WEDNESDAY
Blazer: Forever 21 Sweater: Thrift Shop find (no tags)
Jeans: Piper’s Closet Shoes:Ecote leather Chelsea Boots
If you can’t tell by my face, by the middle of the week I was fading, but i rocked one of my favorite aesthetics, my play on menswear.
By Thursday i was dragging, 2-all nighters that week killed me, so I put on the easiest thing; a dress! If you feel like crap, don’t dress like crap, you’ll only feel crappier! But at this point all black everything was necessary.
I finally got some sleep, and i felt like making up for my lack of effort. Throw on my go-to genuine leather skirt (another thrift shop keeper), with a sheer blouse, my new lipstick for fall/winter, and run a flat-iron through my hair, and I was bringing sexy Fridays! Most of the day I wore it with a jean jacket.
Saturday I caught up on sleep, but by Sunday I was back at it for a video shoot. The weather warmed up, so I could rock my Zara Leather jacket without any layering, I was quite happy.

SUNDAY
Jacket: Zara T-shirt Zig-Zag Festival (cut by me)
Jeans: Paris Blues Shoes: Ecote Chelsea Boots
Shout out to Vision Alternative for helping me out with Monday – Fridays pictures!
